HIP HOP

Hip Hop dance is a form of street dance but focuses more on upright moves as opposed to Break-dance which is better known for its floor-orientated movements.

Over the last two decades, other funk dance styles have evolved separately and been incorporated into the Hip Hop culture such as ‘Popping’, ‘Locking’…and more recently ‘Tutting’.

Today, many dance studios offer Hip Hop classes of some sort.  As Hip Hop dancing is such a broad genre, the choreographer has much more freedom for personal interpretation often mixing various styles freely.  Studio-Choreographed Hip Hop is widely accepted today which TPC specialises in with experienced teachers.
